What is camp all about?

STEAM Revolution is focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and MAKER skills. We integrate these topics into daily activities, where students will have the opportunity to design and build projects as a team and individually. We will be learning skills like electronic circuits, woodworking, project design and mapping, coding and lots more. A chief characteristic of this camp is that it is a “student centered” camp where students can assist in the decisions about what we do on a week to week basis. Each camp week starts with a design session where campers decide how they will interact with the challenge for that week.

Is Transportation Available?

Transportation from Westchester is available for an additional fee.  Stops include White Plains and Dobbs Ferry. We are considering transportation from the Upper West Side. When you register you will be asked to select an option for bus. We will then contact you with bus information. The fee for busing will be $100 per week per camper.

Curious-on-Hudson has arranged transportation from two locations in Westchester to the Riverdale campus. The fee is $100 per camper per week.

Stop 1: Our Home Base: 77 Tarrytown Road, White Plains NY (next to Exit 5, I-287)

Stop 2: Dobbs Ferry: Rivertowns Square (shopping center located directly on the Saw Mill River Parkway).

This bus will run Monday-Friday with pick up at 7:30 in White Plains (@ Curious-on-Hudson) and approximately 7:45 in Dobbs Ferry (Rivertowns Square). Return times should be 5:00-5:10 in Dobbs Ferry and 5:25-5:35 in White Plains. The time variance is based on traffic and may be off by a few minutes here or there.

The registration page will ask whether or not your child requires bus transportation. If you indicate “YES,” the fee will be billed to you separately before the start of camp.

How is the camp staffed?

This camp is led by a senior director and is staffed by specialists in areas of science education, technology and applied arts. Specialists and guests will attend camp during the 7-week summer term.  Our staff includes teachers, college students and experts in various fields as well as our own full-time staff of instructors. Students will be in groups of 10-15 kids with three assigned team leads.

Who are the organizers of this camp?

Curious-on-Hudson is the organizer of STEAM Revolution Camp.  We have provided STEAM enrichment programs to schools and communities in the NYC region for over five years and we have operated our own summer camps and classes every year since 2013. This our first year at the College of Mt. St. Vincent but we have loads of experience running camps just like this one. Learn more about us at this link.  (

How many campers will attend?

The camp will accommodate groups of 10-15 kids per peer group with a maximum attendance of 60 students per week.

What grade does my child need to be in to register?

Your child should be entering Grades 2-8. If your child is in a different grade and you believe he/she would be a good fit for STEAM Camp Revolution, please email us @

What about food?

You can bring your own brown bag, healthy lunch or you can choose from a wide assortment of delicious foods in the college dining hall. There are hot and cold food options available every day. The dining hall is clean, spacious, offers numerous alternatives and even has an outdoor dining terrace! We are currently working with the college to determine a summer dining fee for campers.
